After Via
Veneto, famous for Fellini's movie "La Dolce Vita", and
Piazza della Repubblica with the
Najadi's Fountain our promenade through the istorical center starts
with the famous Trevi Fountain
till Piazza Navona (stop), always
quite lively and pictoresque, with the Four Rivers Fountain,
Bernini's masterpiece. Along the way we will admire Piazza Colonna, with the Column of Marcus
Aurelius and the Pantheon, built
in the 1st Century b.C. with the widest dome in the world (visit).
Continue by coach to the Vatican,
the heart of Christendom, passing by St. Angel's Castle. Visit
Saint-Peter's Square and Saint-Peter's
Basilica to admire, among others, the Pietà by Michelangelo. Return to hotels
or nearest point.
